Requirements
- Advanced degree (MA, MS, PhD, or MD) in a Life Science discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy) or a degree in Translation.
- 5+ years of professional experience in life science translation and editing.
- Native-level fluency in French (France).
- Professional-level mastery of English (USA).
- Extensive experience with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, memoQ, or Memsource.
- Proven ability to handle high-stakes regulatory content such as EMA/FDA filings, MedDRA, or EDQM terminology.
- Must be prepared to supply recent work samples or complete a translation test piece.
Responsibilities
- Convert complex life science documents such as clinical trial protocols, ICFs, dossiers, and medical device manuals from English (USA) to French (France).
- Conduct bilingual reviews of translated materials to ensure accuracy and prevent omissions or terminology errors.
- Refine the style, flow, and grammar of target-language content to meet native-level quality standards.
- Maintain and update client-specific glossaries and translation memories for project consistency.
- Adhere to ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 standards for linguistic quality and risk management.
