Requirements
- 3 years of relevant work experience in political research, campaign work, or issue advocacy.
- Experience in energy policy, corporate accountability, or as an analyst/journalist covering the clean energy industry.
- Basic understanding of clean energy technologies and financial statements of publicly-traded companies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong news judgment and knowledge of the political media landscape.
- Familiarity with research tools including LexisNexis, public records, and campaign finance filings.
- Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, Sheets, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to work Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm EST, plus weekends and evenings as needed.
- Ability to travel approximately 3-4 times per year.
Responsibilities
- Lead data analysis and updates for research projects tracking impacts of and attacks on the clean energy economy.
- Deliver research-driven projects in collaboration with campaign and leadership teams.
- Draft reports, fact sheets, and other clean energy research and communications materials.
- Track and report on business news from the clean energy sector, including financial filings and earnings calls.
- Generate actionable research for communications, media pitches, and campaign tactics to hold officials accountable.
- Produce media ad backups, conduct fact-checks, and approve clean energy content in outbound materials.
- Collaborate with the communications team to pitch research findings to media outlets.
