Requirements
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience in an operational finance role.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or comparable qualification.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, AR/AP processes, and financial closing procedures.
- Familiarity with German GAAP (HGB).
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as DATEV or ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics.
- Effective communication skills in both German and English.
- Ability to work independently with a structured and dependable approach.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter, CPA) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately in the ERP system including account coding and approval workflows.
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable cycles including reconciliations and follow-ups.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions for the general ledger.
- Execute all relevant accounting entries for AP, AR, and recurring transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities including accruals and audit documentation preparation.
- Participate in finance projects such as system upgrades, process automation, and internal control enhancements.
