Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 5+ years of directly comparable experience.
- Demonstrated experience in construction cost management or other business.
- Strong technical proficiencies with project management principles including change management, commitments, budgeting, and monthly forecasting.
- Proficiency with project management and financial software including CMiC.
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong data management skills and creativity in business problem solving.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset.
- Strong communication skills, including virtual conferencing.
- Detail-oriented and motivated self-starter.
- Ability to travel as needed to successfully fulfill responsibilities and duties.
Responsibilities
- Oversee portfolio cost-control, forecasting, and reporting including earned value analysis.
- Utilize project management and financial software to analyze project costs, budgets, and productivity.
- Develop and maintain cost tracking systems while assisting in the development and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure SOX compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide insights into cost trends and identify opportunities for savings.
- Build data models to support pre-construction and estimating teams for improved budgeting.
- Implement an earned value management system to improve project cost management and identify business risks.
- Train and supervise analysts to ensure efficient project cost analysis.
- Conduct field visits to understand project struggles, build trust, and serve as a resource for project teams.
