Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, carrier procurement, supply chain, or transportation finance with direct exposure to carrier pricing and billing.
  • Strong understanding of parcel and final-mile transportation pricing, including base rates, accessorial fees, fuel surcharges, dimensional weight calculations, and zone-based pricing structures.
  • Proven experience performing carrier rate analysis, contract validation, invoice auditing, and transportation cost modeling.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, reconciliation models, and complex data analysis.
  • Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP platforms, or carrier billing systems.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex transportation tariffs and quantify business impact.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accountability in managing financially sensitive data and processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working across procurement, finance, operations, and technology teams.
  • Willingness to work permanent US business hours (7:00 PM – 4:00 AM IST).

Responsibilities

  • Translate carrier contracts into accurate system configurations, including base rates, accessorial charges, fuel surcharges, dimensional weight rules, and zone-based pricing.
  • Maintain and update carrier pricing rules, surcharge schedules, and zip-zone mappings to ensure alignment with contractual agreements and effective dates.
  • Conduct rate delta analyses to evaluate general rate increases (GRIs), contract revisions, and pricing changes, identifying financial impacts and potential discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain cost comparison models to assess shipment-level and portfolio-wide transportation expenses and support strategic decision-making.
  • Audit carrier invoices to verify billing accuracy, identify unauthorized charges, and resolve discrepancies through structured investigations and carrier collaboration.
  • Partner with finance and accounts payable teams to support accurate carrier payments, financial reconciliations, and month-end reporting activities.
  • Monitor carrier compliance with negotiated service levels and contractual terms while supporting carrier onboarding, system configuration validation, and operational testing.
  • Collaborate with transportation systems, procurement, and operations teams to improve reporting, billing accuracy, supply chain visibility, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
