Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience leading complex portfolios, programs, projects, or PMO functions.
- 5+ years of experience managing project managers, program managers, or cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience overseeing large-scale initiatives involving technology, healthcare operations, research, innovation, or business transformation.
- Strong understanding of portfolio governance, project management methodologies, resource planning, and delivery frameworks.
- Experience facilitating executive-level discussions, prioritization decisions, and strategic planning activities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, complex dependencies, and multiple stakeholder expectations.
- Experience within healthcare technology ecosystems or familiarity with Epic environments is preferred.
- PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or comparable project or portfolio management certification preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% nationally to support business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously enhance the Innovation Portfolio and Project Management Office function, establishing governance frameworks, methodologies, standards, and reporting practices.
- Oversee enterprise portfolios across technology, healthcare operations, research, innovation, and strategic improvement initiatives.
- Develop portfolio review processes that support prioritization, escalation, accountability, and executive decision-making.
- Monitor portfolio health, including timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, resource capacity, and business outcomes.
- Lead, coach, and develop project managers and research professionals while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate execution, resolve challenges, and ensure initiatives remain aligned with strategic goals.
- Create executive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks to provide visibility into performance, risks, capacity, and progress.
