Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with strong expertise in Node.js environments.
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with experience building production-grade applications.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and data management practices.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend service architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, with strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Express.js or similar backend frameworks.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerization, authentication, authorization patterns, and secure software development practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using modern technologies including Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, cloud platforms, and database systems.
- Build scalable APIs, integrations, and backend services while ensuring reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Develop and enhance software features, improve existing processes, and contribute to continuous platform innovation.
- Perform day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, data manipulation, migrations, reporting, and support activities across existing applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and proprietary platform services.
- Conduct detailed code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and support the technical growth of junior engineers through mentorship.
- Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide technical support and resolve critical production issues when needed.
