Job Details

Solid experience with a systems language (e.g., Go, Rust, C, C++, Python, or Java).
Proven experience building and operating cloud-based distributed systems in production.
Ability to manage multi-tenant data systems that are fast, reliable, and affordable.
Strong product sense with the ability to sit with ambiguity and translate fuzzy problems into deliverables.
Operational mindset with experience in SRE-style work, infrastructure as code, and on-call rotations.
Software craftsmanship skills with a focus on writing clean, robust, and performant code.
Pragmatic approach to problem-solving, using short feedback loops and MVP delivery.
Clear communication skills for a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
Curiosity and courage to challenge the status quo and refine product-market fit.

Lead projects from concept to rollout, including design, delivery, operations, and customer follow-up.
Design, build, and operate core components of a distributed database, making sharp trade-offs on performance, cost, and complexity.
Wear the product hat by joining customer calls, translating pain points into deliverables, and shaping the roadmap.
Drive operational excellence, own outcomes against SLOs and unit cost targets, and automate toil.
Partner across Grafana teams to make profiles useful wherever engineers work.
Support teammates through design conversations, code reviews, and pairing.
Participate in the EMEA on-call rotation and engage in post-incident learning.
Contribute to the Pyroscope open-source project and engage with the community.
