Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in collections and/or customer service.
- Experience supporting customers over the phone preferred.
- Collection and account management experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform de-escalation of tense situations.
- Strong negotiation skills to achieve mutually acceptable solutions.
- High level of competency with PC and various software applications.
- Ability to learn new programs quickly.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Professional attitude aligned with company values.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships by monitoring payments and identifying business building and risk management opportunities.
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to ensure timely payments and negotiate arrangements.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with a professional, service-oriented, and empathetic approach.
- De-escalate stressful or tense situations with patience and understanding.
- Provide timely approval of orders for assigned accounts and support teammates as needed.
- Manage customer accounts within assigned credit limits and update credit lines through necessary research.
- Maintain accurate customer information and notes in company systems.
