Requirements
- Washington teacher certification in Middle School Language Arts.
- Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and educational software like Nearpod.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, students, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent attention to detail with proven time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive school environment.
- Ability to travel for one or two weeks at a time for school events, training, and testing.
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device for 2-step authentication.
Responsibilities
- Host weekly homeroom LiveLessons and provide guidance as a mentor.
- Deliver synchronous instruction and asynchronous support videos to enhance course content.
- Operate within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to provide differentiated instruction and targeted interventions.
- Grade assignments within 8 days and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and instructional staff, logging all interactions.
- Coordinate and attend social activities, field trips, and state testing events, including in-person proctoring.
- Collaborate with IEP/504 teams and participate in professional learning communities to drive instruction through data.
