Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Active state teaching license (Math grades 5-9).
- Must reside in Indiana or obtain reciprocity within 60 days.
- Ability to clear required background check.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.
- Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for professional development and student testing.
- Ability to collaboratively interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.
- Experience working with the proposed age group (desired).
- Experience teaching in an online or virtual environment (desired).
Responsibilities
- Modify and adapt K12 curriculum in alignment with state content standards.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to meet goals for targeted students through individualized and small group sessions.
- Educate parents on various instructional strategies.
- Ensure implementation of the RTI instructional system to increase student achievement.
- Oversee data collection and progress monitoring at every tier.
- Use data to help teachers plan whole and small group instruction and provide guidance on identifying students for intervention.
- Collect and maintain all RTI data, including lists of eligible students and intervention plans.
- Serve as a daily resource to school administrators and stakeholders regarding RTI issues.
- Collaborate with homeroom teachers, advisors, and counselors to coordinate and track Tier 2 interventions.
- Provide ongoing training and support to staff regarding RTI and data collection procedures.
