Requirements
- North Carolina Middle School Math or English (ELA) Teaching Certification
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Must reside in North Carolina
- Ability to clear required background check
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently at least 40 hours per week
- Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time for professional development and testing
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
Responsibilities
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
- Personalize learning for all students while demonstrating belief in their ability to succeed
- Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery
- Maintain grade book, ensure academic integrity, and make student placement and promotion decisions
- Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students and learning coaches
- Support learning coaches and parents with instructional issues and basic troubleshooting
