Requirements

  • Approximately 7+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years designing and implementing energy research and evaluation projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading research and evaluation studies from initial design through final delivery.
  • Strong qualitative research expertise, including conducting interviews, focus groups, thematic analysis, and synthesizing complex information.
  • Strong quantitative research skills, including survey design, statistical methods, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Proven ability to manage consulting projects, including scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and quality assurance.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with clients and acting as a strategic advisor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience creating professional reports, presentations, and executive-level materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or managing junior team members.
  • Familiarity with impact evaluations, process evaluations, and market assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships by identifying needs, risks, opportunities, and developing tailored research and evaluation strategies.
  • Lead the execution of research, evaluation, and advisory projects while ensuring client satisfaction and successful outcomes.
  • Design innovative research and evaluation approaches aligned with industry best practices and client objectives.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate resources to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Communicate complex research methodologies, technical findings, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Establish and support quality assurance processes to maintain high standards across project deliverables.
  • Design and lead qualitative and quantitative research initiatives, including interviews, surveys, and statistical analysis.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor junior consulting professionals to support team development and career growth.
