Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 4 years of directly related experience.
- Experience with U.S., Canadian, and international product safety standards (e.g., ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 75% as business dictates.
- Strong technical, administrative, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Responsibilities
- Independently conduct on and off-site product evaluations for compliance with national and international safety standards.
- Determine applicability of codes and clauses for equipment under test and validate project scope.
- Set up, operate, and document test results for electrical and mechanical products.
- Perform preliminary design reviews (PDR) and manage field labeling jobs.
- Provide technical expertise, mentor junior personnel, and investigate technical complaints.
- Generate quotations and provide complex sales support including client presentations.
- Represent Intertek on industry committees and associations.
