Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Information Systems Management, or equivalent academic credentials.
- 3-5 years of experience in multi-user geographic information systems.
- Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS (ArcMap) and/or ArcGIS Pro.
- Knowledge of GPS receivers, satellite theory, and post-processing techniques.
- Ability to integrate and work with CAD data in ArcGIS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience with utility distribution systems, surveying, or GPR preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 100% to project worksites.
- Physical ability to perform field duties, including lifting up to 50-100 lbs and navigating various outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Enter spatial data using coordinate geometry, digitizing, and geo-referencing methods.
- Produce custom maps, exhibits, and spatial analysis reports using ArcGIS.
- Maintain the utility data library, feature codes, and static geometric networks.
- Perform quality control procedures to ensure GIS data accuracy.
- Incorporate record surveys and as-builts into the database.
- Represent the company at client and project meetings.
- Assist with construction inspections and underground utility locates as needed.
