Requirements
- Terminal medical degree (MD or DO).
- Successful completion of USMLE Step 1 and 2 exams.
- Board certification in a US-approved medical or surgical specialty or completion of at least two years of ACGME-accredited residency training.
- Excellent writing, editing, and copy-editing skills with close attention to detail.
- Available to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week of asynchronous work.
- Commitment to the organizational mission of transforming medical education.
- Prior medical question writing experience is a plus.
- Experience in formal medical education is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review and revise existing and newly drafted questions and topic summaries.
- Ensure content adheres to educational value, readability, and inclusive language standards.
- Verify that assessment items are accurate, clinically realistic, and scoped for Step 1 and Step 2 exams.
- Work with the medical illustration team to create or collect relevant medical images and figures.
- Attend team meetings and regular check-ins with the writing team.
- Identify and complete other tasks as needed.
