Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of progressively responsible experience in association event management, conference planning, or membership organization operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Event Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-event portfolios and volunteer-led programs.
  • Knowledge of PCMA standards and association meeting best practices.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential preferred.
  • Experience with sponsorship management and event revenue coordination.
  • Familiarity with event registration platforms, mobile event apps, and association management systems (AMS).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to administer approved budgets and monitor financial transactions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel and provide onsite event support as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of annual Section, Chapter, leadership, and webinar events.
  • Manage registration, sponsorship fulfillment, and mobile app execution for all Section and Chapter events.
  • Serve as primary contact for hotel, convention center, venue, audiovisual, and vendor contracts.
  • Monitor event performance metrics and recommend improvements based on attendee feedback and industry standards.
  • Support volunteer leaders with event planning, member engagement strategies, and operational best practices.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and manage event budget reconciliation.
  • Provide onsite event management support for conferences and meetings as needed.
