Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python and Java, with experience in modern frameworks like Flask/FastAPI and Spring Boot.
- Mastery of event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis) and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong background in building scalable, real-time data pipelines using Kafka, Flink, and Airflow.
- Demonstrated experience integrating clinical data standards such as FHIR, CCDA, HL7 V2/V3, and DICOM.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database design and data warehousing technologies like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Demonstrated success in optimizing system performance and reducing cloud infrastructure costs.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the development of scalable systems using event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka, Airflow, Flink).
- Design and implement real-time data pipelines and hybrid batch/streaming flows processing millions of records per second.
- Manage the ingestion and integration of healthcare data standards including FHIR, CCDA, and HL7 V2/V3.
- Develop resilient, API-driven microservices with robust versioning and performance optimization.
- Design fault-tolerant, cloud-native solutions on AWS and Kubernetes focusing on resilience and cost efficiency.
- Partner with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive R&D initiatives for new technologies like AI/ML integration and real-time analytics.
