Requirements
- Experience testing software applications, creating test cases, and documenting defects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
- Strong knowledge of PC and LAN environments, including Windows Server and operating systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, client/server applications, and web applications preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile, Jira, test management platforms, and API testing is a plus.
- Experience with public safety or mission-critical software is beneficial.
- Openness to applying AI-assisted tools for productivity.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features, bug fixes, integrations, and releases.
- Perform functional, exploratory, regression, and developer work item testing.
- Document, investigate, reproduce, track, and validate defects and customer-reported issues.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and support teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Communicate product updates through release notes and clear documentation.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to support test planning, defect analysis, and release preparation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives regarding QA processes and standards.
