Requirements
- Must reside in the greater Philadelphia area.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in a scientific field with 1+ years of experience.
- Practical knowledge of flow cytometry equipment and related laboratory applications.
- Proven experience with consultative sales techniques, including prospecting, qualifying, closing, and expanding customer relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing an independent territory.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong time and account management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, customers, and internal partners.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office tools is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 70% within the assigned territory, including overnight travel.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve assigned revenue and financial objectives.
- Sell flow cytometry instruments, solutions, and consumables to customers across academic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, industrial, hospital, and research markets.
- Manage and grow assigned territory accounts by building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Identify new business opportunities, competitive threats, and expansion opportunities within the territory.
- Prospect, qualify, and close sales opportunities while maintaining a strong customer-focused approach.
- Partner with technical teams and internal stakeholders to address customer challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Support customers throughout the sales process by understanding scientific workflows and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Participate in developing sales strategies, forecasting activities, and territory planning.
- Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, and pipeline updates through CRM tools.
- Manage sales expenses and territory resources effectively.
- Travel regularly throughout the assigned region to meet customer needs and support business growth.
