Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Government, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years of business development, capture management, account management, or sales experience within the federal contracting market.
- Demonstrated success identifying, capturing, and winning federal contracts as either a prime contractor or subcontractor.
- Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and federal procurement processes.
- Experience with major contract vehicles, including GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, and GSA Schedules.
- Established professional network within federal agencies, the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and/or government contracting industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development and capture activities throughout the federal procurement lifecycle, from opportunity identification through contract award.
- Develop and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline aligned with the company's core capabilities, strategic objectives, and growth goals.
- Identify, assess, and pursue federal contracting opportunities across civilian, defense, and intelligence community customers.
- Develop and execute effective capture and win strategies to increase probability of award.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, industry partners, and potential teaming organizations.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities, customer priorities, and industry trends.
- Support proposal development efforts by contributing to solution development, pricing strategies, teaming arrangements, and competitive positioning.
- Monitor federal procurement forecasts, acquisition plans, and regulatory developments that may impact growth strategy.
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting within customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, networking forums, and customer engagements.
