Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- 5+ years of legal experience with significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal contracts.
- Strong experience with commercial contracts, including SaaS, customer, vendor, and other technology agreements.
- Ability to manage a high volume of work while balancing legal risk with business priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales and other business teams.
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with a desire to learn and grow within a scaling legal organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of customer and vendor agreements including SaaS, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, BAAs, and licensing agreements.
- Serve as a trusted legal partner to Sales and cross-functional teams by providing business-focused legal guidance.
- Handle routine and moderately complex commercial negotiations independently.
- Partner with the Legal team to maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation strategies.
- Support the business on data privacy, AI, and technology-related contractual provisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Finance, Operations, and Security to support legal needs.
- Identify legal risks while maintaining business acumen and escalating issues appropriately.
