Requirements
- 8+ years of systems-level software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in Windows kernel internals: I/O manager, IRP flow, object manager, process/thread structures, and memory management.
- Extensive experience in kernel-mode driver development (C, C++, or Rust).
- Proven experience with security enforcement drivers, such as file-system minifilters or callback-based drivers.
- Knowledge of Windows security models (tokens, SIDs, ACLs) and isolation models (job objects, silos, containers).
- Proficiency in driver signing, WHQL attestation, EV code signing, and WDK/WDF/KMDF workflows.
- Advanced kernel debugging skills using WinDbg, KD, ETW, and crash-dump analysis.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted coding tools for design, code generation, and quality gates.
- Strong understanding of systems design patterns at the kernel/user-mode boundary.
- Experience in the full product development lifecycle within an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own kernel-mode enforcement drivers including file-system, process and thread creation, and registry access.
- Manage the kernel/user-mode enforcement boundary by handling event capture, policy evaluation, and deny decision caching.
- Drive down enforce-mode latency across large fleets through process enrichment and image-hash caching.
- Extend security enforcement into Windows containers, Host Compute Service workloads, and silo-aware policies.
- Harden portability and stability for production Windows builds, ensuring compliance with PatchGuard, HVCI, and WHQL standards.
- Collaborate with Linux and macOS enforcement engineers on cross-stack policy semantics and architecture.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers regarding Windows kernel craft.
