Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in systems-level software engineering.
- Deep expertise in macOS system internals (Endpoint Security framework, System/Network Extensions, launchd, XPC, TCC, entitlements).
- Proficiency in C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, or Rust.
- Practical experience with synchronous authorization events and the allow/deny verdict model.
- Knowledge of macOS deployment lifecycle (MDM, code signing, notarization, entitlement provisioning).
- Understanding of macOS isolation models (App Sandbox, TCC, SIP).
- Experience with macOS debugging and performance tools (lldb, Instruments, dtrace, unified logging).
- Demonstrated ability to use AI-driven tools (e.g., Claude Code) for design, code generation, and quality control.
- Strong background in full-lifecycle product releases in an agile environment.
- Proven technical leadership on complex, cross-team initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own the Endpoint Security client, including process execution and file/signal events.
- Manage the enforcement decision path, ensuring synchronous authorization occurs within Apple's deadlines.
- Optimize enforce-mode latency through process enrichment and cache management.
- Develop network and content control extensions tied to identity and process context.
- Ensure stability and portability across macOS versions, including Apple Silicon and Intel architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain policy semantics and event schemas.
- Represent macOS requirements in cross-org architecture reviews.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on macOS systems and security craft.
