Requirements
- 8+ years of systems-level software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in Linux kernel internals, including scheduling, memory management, networking, and syscalls.
- Strong proficiency in systems programming with C or Rust.
- Hands-on experience with eBPF for security enforcement and verifier-level program design.
- Familiarity with BTF, CO-RE, and managing portability across kernel versions.
- Experience with container runtime internals, including namespaces, cgroups, and seccomp.
- Proficiency with kernel debugging and performance tools such as perf, ftrace, bpftrace, and gdb.
- Experience with AI-first development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate design and code generation.
- Demonstrated technical leadership on complex initiatives spanning multiple teams.
- Strong grasp of systems design patterns at the kernel/userspace boundary.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own eBPF programs and BPF LSM hooks to enforce policy synchronously in the kernel.
- Manage the kernel/userspace enforcement boundary, including event capture and policy evaluation.
- Optimize enforce-mode latency on the syscall hot path to handle heavy fork/exec pressure.
- Extend security enforcement into containers, namespaces, and Kubernetes workloads.
- Ensure portability across various kernel versions and distributions using BTF and CO-RE.
- Partner with macOS and Windows engineering teams on the shared policy plane and event schema.
- Represent Linux requirements in cross-org architecture reviews and define technical direction.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on Linux systems and eBPF development.
