Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 6+ years of data engineering or software development experience.
- Experience working with terabyte-scale datasets.
- Proficiency with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Experience with relational databases including MS SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Comprehensive data design and modeling experience.
- Advanced SQL query skills.
- Solid experience developing complex ETL processes from concept to implementation.
- Functional programming experience in Python.
- Strong software engineering principles and systems optimization knowledge.
- Proven track record of technical leadership on medium to large-scale projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Curate, consolidate, and manipulate large-scale datasets from diverse sources.
- Build high-quality data pipelines and ETL processes using platforms like Snowflake and BigQuery.
- Develop and improve enterprise data marts with scalable data models.
- Partner with analytics, data science, CRM, and machine learning teams to build data solutions.
- Manage data pipeline SLAs, dependency tracking, and anomaly detection.
- Provide technical documentation and present at design reviews.
- Lead medium to large-scale data projects, including technical specification and planning.
- Mentor junior team members.
