Requirements
- 7–10+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Combined experience in Public Accounting, Technical Advisory, and/or Private Accounting.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle Fusion).
- Familiarity with close management tools such as FloQast or BlackLine.
- Practical knowledge of sub-ledgers including revenue recognition (ASC 606), fixed assets, prepaids, amortization, and accruals.
- Strong understanding of accounting controls and audit considerations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including large datasets, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
- Ability to lead discovery and demo sessions with finance leadership.
- Proven ability to make clear judgment calls when working with incomplete or messy data.
- Big-4 accounting experience is a plus.
- CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Experience scoping or delivering accounting automation projects is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to conduct deep-dive, end-to-end GL and sub-ledger workflow discovery.
- Lead accounting-focused discovery sessions with Controllers, Accounting Managers, and Finance leaders.
- Evaluate ERP configurations, close processes, and accounting policies to determine automation feasibility and scope.
- Define necessary data access and artifacts required for successful implementation.
- Configure AI agents to align with customer accounting policies, ERP structures, and close controls.
- Support pilots and early implementations with a focus on accuracy, reconciliation integrity, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with Engineering to clarify accounting logic, edge cases, and expected outputs.
- Act as an internal accounting authority, surfacing patterns to influence product roadmap decisions and implementation playbooks.
