Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, or corporate collections.
- Proven comfort level performing direct customer outreach via phone and email.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Sales, Customer Success, and Accounting teams.
- Systems-thinking mindset with a desire to streamline workflows and resolve operational errors.
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles related to A/R and bad debt is a plus.
- Ability to work in a private, distraction-free, and secure home office environment.
- Availability for roughly 10% travel for team offsites and critical meetings.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily oversight of end-to-end billing workflows for recurring and usage-based products.
- Execute weekly, one-off, ad-hoc, and manual invoicing to support unique accounts.
- Monitor billing controls to ensure accuracy in invoice generation, proration, and usage calculations.
- Oversee A/R aging reports and cash application activities to ensure accurate posting of payments.
- Drive collections strategy through direct phone calls and targeted email escalations to recover overdue funds.
- Negotiate payment plans with late-paying customers to protect revenue while maintaining professional relationships.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Experience to coordinate collections and account escalations.
- Educate customers on billing policies to resolve complex issues and reduce support ticket volume.
- Collaborate with accounting on bad debt assessments, revenue adjustments, and month-end close support.
