Requirements
- Deep, hands-on TSQL (complex queries, stored procedures, and functions)
- Proven data migration and ETL experience, especially with legacy schemas
- Ability to reverse-engineer and document undocumented legacy databases
- Expertise in query performance tuning through execution plan analysis and indexing
- Experience with transaction handling, locking, and isolation levels
- Strong data validation skills including reconciliation scripts and checksums
- Experience with SQL Server special types like temporal tables and JSON
- Familiarity with automation using SQL Server Agent or other orchestrators
- Advanced English level
Responsibilities
- Own data migrations from legacy schemas to production-ready data
- Reverse-engineer and document undocumented legacy databases
- Develop incremental, idempotent, and re-runnable migration processes
- Perform query performance tuning through execution plan analysis and indexing strategy
- Ensure data consistency and integrity using reconciliation scripts and checksums
- Automate migration tasks using tools like SQL Server Agent
- Conduct performance testing under real production volume
