Requirements
- 6-10+ years of progressive finance experience in a rigorous, high-accountability environment (investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or credit lending) with a successful transition into an operating company.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including ability to build three-statement models and scenario analysis from scratch.
- Hands-on experience automating budgeting and forecasting processes and selecting/implementing FP&A planning tools.
- AI-first mindset with daily use of tools like Claude or ChatGPT to accelerate modeling and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to self-teach new domains and successfully navigate hard career pivots.
- Strong business acumen to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Strongly preferred: CPA, CFA, or MBA.
- Strongly preferred: Experience with fundraising or M&A diligence in venture-backed environments.
- Strongly preferred: Familiarity with GAAP/ASC 606 and SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC/LTV).
Responsibilities
- Redesign and automate the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process, evaluating and implementing new FP&A tools.
- Lead corporate-wide financial planning and long-range forecasting, including complex scenario modeling for SaaS and outcomes-based revenue streams.
- Support fundraising, equity, and debt processes by building investor models and diligence support.
- Lead financial diligence and integration modeling for M&A activity.
- Partner with Accounting on ASC 606 compliant revenue recognition for complex, multi-element contracts.
- Own ARR tracking and reporting to maintain data integrity.
- Build and maintain financial reporting infrastructure and dashboards for leadership and the Board.
