Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience, including hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance for direct reports.
- Experience leading software development teams and delivering enterprise-level applications or services.
- Strong software development background with experience in Java, web services, system integrations, and relational database platforms.
- Demonstrated experience implementing significant systems, technology, or process improvements.
- Ability to evaluate priorities and make resource decisions based on business value and available capacity.
- Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, assignments, and technical challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities with experience collaborating across teams and business functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers responsible for delivering functionality across multiple technologies and solution areas.
- Plan, guide, and oversee software development projects of varying complexity, scope, and business impact.
- Manage the design, development, testing, and implementation of software solutions that meet established requirements.
- Oversee production support activities, troubleshooting efforts, and resolution of customer or system issues.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational objectives and user needs.
- Evaluate project proposals, technical concepts, and development efforts to support effective planning and prioritization.
- Allocate resources and manage priorities to ensure successful delivery of enhancements and strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of meaningful technology changes.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development support to software engineers.
