Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant scientific discipline or a doctoral degree in a clinical field.
  • Formal training in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), such as a Master's degree or fellowship.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, managed markets, or population health.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience leading strategic projects or multidisciplinary initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in pharmacoeconomic evaluations, patient-reported outcomes, and comparative effectiveness research.
  • Experience with observational studies and real-world evidence generation.
  • Advanced analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills.
  • Experience working with healthcare claims databases and electronic medical records.
  • Proficiency with statistical software and research programming tools.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry best practices for scientific communications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive U.S. HEOR strategies for one or more products or therapeutic areas.
  • Design, oversee, and communicate health economics and outcomes research studies, economic models, and value demonstration tools.
  • Provide strategic HEOR guidance to cross-functional stakeholders on evidence-generation priorities and study design.
  • Collaborate with pipeline marketing, medical affairs, and clinical development to integrate U.S. payer evidence requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Evidence Plans and HEOR strategy plans.
  • Review study protocols, research methodologies, publications, and statistical analyses for scientific quality.
  • Represent healthcare payer and health system evidence needs within project teams.
  • Partner with customer-facing teams to develop HEOR materials and value tools for external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HEOR processes and mentor junior team members.
  • Manage project priorities, budgets, and timelines within a dynamic environment.
