Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of fundraising and/or sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of fundraising and/or sales principles and techniques in large organizations.
- Successful track record in solicitation of large fund amounts.
- Excellent organizational, collaborative, analytical, presentation and communication skills.
- Good project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of fundraising database systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce.com).
- Current valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to travel 25-40% for business purposes.
Responsibilities
- Implement overall fundraising strategy for assigned donor portfolio and/or line of service needs at the Division level.
- Manage and develop corporation and/or foundation accounts for 7 figure donors and more complex donor solicitation.
- Analyze information about potential contributors for strategy development and target selection.
- Build capacity to identify, cultivate and solicit donors by providing educational, technical and program support.
- Participate directly in the solicitation of funds from high-level contributors.
- Provide guidance to development staff.
- Drive vehicle to other locations for business purposes.
