Requirements
- Previous experience leading cross-functional engineering teams, typically 4–6 engineers.
- Strong expertise building frontend applications with React and Typescript.
- Strong expertise building backend systems with Elixir and Phoenix.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Experience working with Typescript and GraphQL.
- Experience with DevOps practices, infrastructure management, and deployments.
- Experience building GraphQL APIs with Apollo Client and Absinthe (Preferred).
- Experience with Vercel and Next.js (Preferred).
- Understanding of Postgres database design and optimization (Preferred).
- DevOps experience deploying AWS services and Kubernetes using Terraform (Preferred).
Responsibilities
- Lead a small cross-functional team of engineers, partnering with a product manager and designer to assess priorities.
- Own the day-to-day execution of the team's roadmap to consistently deliver high-quality releases.
- Act as a hands-on technical leader with strong expertise in Typescript, React, and Elixir.
- Own the software architecture and technical direction across your team’s functional domain.
- Champion the adoption of AI technologies and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Ensure systems are secure, performant, scalable, and operationally reliable in production.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure the team ships maintainable, well-tested features.
- Mentor engineers across varying levels of experience.
- Support the hiring and onboarding of a growing engineering organization.
