Requirements
- PhD in a quantitative field with 1+ years of experience in a related role, or BS/MS in a quantitative field with 3+ years of experience.
- Proven experience creating, deploying, and managing supervised learning models in production systems for vital applications.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals including test-driven development, code review, and refactoring.
- Proficiency in the PyData stack (numpy, scikit-learn, pandas).
- Familiarity with ML tooling such as Spark, Kubernetes, Airflow, MLFlow, Chalk, BentoML, or DVC.
- Strong preference for generalist data scientists motivated by practical solutions.
- Experience managing a technical team is a plus.
- Experience building end-to-end predictive models is a plus.
- Experience in consumer lending or fintech is a plus.
- Interest in training, interpreting, and deploying neural network architectures for time series classification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to solve practical business and customer financial problems.
- Partner with business leaders and technical experts to develop new data sources.
- Improve modeling methodology and apply models with sound risk management.
- Collaborate on complex technical problems, focusing on operationalizing and evaluating models for real-world applications.
- Share best practices for software engineering with the broader data science team.
