Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant education.
- 5+ years of property claims experience.
- Strong estimating skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Empathetic interpersonal skills.
- Active adjuster license in home state or non-resident license.
- Ability to meet licensing requirements in additional states as needed.
- Field claims experience (highly preferred).
- Experience in catastrophe-focused environments (highly preferred).
- Professional designations (highly preferred).
Responsibilities
- Investigate and document property claims including policy review and recorded statements.
- Assign inspections, update reserves, and prepare or review estimates.
- Negotiate settlements and communicate updates or decisions to all stakeholders.
- Ensure claims compliance with all applicable regulations and internal processes.
- Provide technical expertise and act as an SME for Claims-related projects.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced staff.
- Support catastrophe response as needed, including potential overtime and deployment.
- Lead high-profile and sensitive special investigations involving intricate fraud referrals.
