Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 15 years in IT/software product management including strategy, roadmap execution, and backlog management.
- Hands-on experience across the SDLC using Agile/SAFe methods.
- Strong facilitation and executive-ready verbal/written communication.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Teams.
- Familiarity with Jira (epics/stories, workflows, dashboards).
- Proven planning, prioritization, and time management across concurrent initiatives.
- Analytical, detail-oriented mindset producing accurate, high-quality deliverables.
- Experience with governance, performance metrics/AQL tracking, and program-level reporting.
- Understanding of VA Healthcare IT products/processes and EHR interoperability environments.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously refine JLV’s Product Strategy, Vision, and Roadmap.
- Conduct frequent meetings with clinicians, business owners, and end users to gather insights.
- Maintain, prioritize, and refine the Product Backlog to ensure alignment with roadmap and customer needs.
- Translate cross-functional requirements into epics that can be delivered within one Program Increment.
- Partner with team members and stakeholders to ensure backlog readiness, sequencing, and capacity balancing.
- Present product vision, roadmaps, and milestones during PI Planning.
- Maintain product artifacts including user flows, journey maps, release notes, and decision logs.
- Ensure product activities align with VA policy, budget constraints, and strategic goals.
