Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in security analysis, security engineering, incident response, or security product support.
- Demonstrated understanding of the lifecycle of network threats, attack vectors, and common TTPs.
- Experience assessing and quantifying security risk for complex organizations.
- Ability to tailor security recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience administering security support tools such as vulnerability scanners, SIEM, or log analysis tools.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently with high autonomy in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Independently review and analyze the security posture of insureds and prospective insureds.
- Evaluate customer security programs and develop tailored, actionable security recommendations.
- Advise technical and non-technical stakeholders on security architecture and control effectiveness.
- Quantify and qualify security risk to support underwriting and project leadership decisions.
- Provide technical support for security products via ticketing systems and scheduled phone calls.
- Identify security scan deficiencies and recommend improvements to internal tooling and strategies.
- Lead team initiatives and projects related to process changes and methodology updates.
- Mentor peers and act as a subject-matter expert for stakeholders across the organization.
