Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of work experience in healthcare billing and collections.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management.
- Demonstrated critical thinking abilities.
- Inquisitive mindset with openness to innovation and AI.
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire (company paid).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the self-pay accounts receivable process to ensure accounts are moving through the self-pay life cycle as designed.
- Handle bad debt inventory management, placements, and returns, including reconciliation and vendor recall requests.
- Oversee the management of acute and Physician Revenue Cycle (PRC) inventory.
- Conduct reviews of deceased accounts to ensure proper handling and resolution.
- Review and resolve statement holds to ensure timely billing and collections.
- Prepare and analyze reports on self-pay aging performance for leadership.
- Ensure all billing and collections activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to the self-pay operations team.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in self-pay operations.
