Requirements
- 5-7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in business development or enterprise account management.
- Proven track record of closing new federal contracts in the $500K–$5M+ range.
- Deep understanding of federal government procurement (FAR, GSA Schedules, CPARS, budgeting, and appropriations cycles).
- Knowledge of federal healthcare agencies (VA, DoD Health Services, Indian Health Service, federal research institutions).
- Demonstrated ability to prospect new business and develop federal accounts from zero.
- Consultative selling skills with the ability to navigate complex federal procurement cycles.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills for managing multi-year federal procurement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with contracting officers and agency leadership.
- Organizational discipline and proficiency with CRM systems for pipeline tracking and forecasting.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify prospective federal healthcare customers using SAM.gov, GSA schedules, and targeted outreach.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of federal accounts and map multi-stakeholder decision-making structures in CRM.
- Develop and execute strategic federal territory plans aligned to agency missions and budget cycles.
- Navigate complex federal procurement processes, including FAR requirements, GSA Schedules, BPA, and IDIQ vehicles.
- Conduct discovery and consult with federal procurement officials, agency directors, and clinical stakeholders.
- Lead federal contract negotiations, proposal development, and manage federal security and compliance requirements.
- Partner with internal legal, compliance, and operations teams to finalize contracts and support customer onboarding.
