Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on work in frontend development for web (React, TypeScript, CSS) and/or mobile (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin).
- 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams with a track record of developing and retaining talent.
- Technical credibility in frontend development with experience shipping rich user-facing experiences.
- Proven ability to lead cross-platform frontend teams and navigate platform trade-offs.
- Strong communication and partnership skills to drive outcomes across product, design, and engineering functions.
- A champion for user experience quality with a focus on cross-platform consistency.
- Experience using and championing AI-powered coding tools and assistants.
- Strong coaching skills to support team member growth and promotions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of 6–10 frontend engineers spanning web, iOS, and Android.
- Foster a culture of craft, cross-platform collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Evolve and extend the UX for Zillow's AI Mode across platforms.
- Own sprint planning, roadmap execution, and cross-team coordination.
- Develop and coach engineers by providing consistent feedback and supporting career growth.
- Partner across product, design, AI/ML, and peer engineering teams to align on requirements and drive integrated agentic experiences to production.
