Requirements
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) required.
- 10+ years (VP) or 12+ years (SVP) of experience in healthcare communications, medical affairs, or medical communications.
- Significant agency experience with demonstrated leadership in medical affairs, promotional medical education, and scientific visualization.
- Track record of leading large teams, complex client portfolios, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to drive new business, organic growth, and executive-level client relationships.
- Strong financial, operational, and strategic business acumen.
- Experience applying AI-enabled tools and innovation strategies in healthcare environments.
- Cardiovascular therapeutic expertise highly desired but not required.
- Moderate travel required (approximately 25%).
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies supporting organizational growth, client success, and operational excellence within Medical Affairs and Medical Communications.
- Provide high-level strategic counsel to senior client stakeholders across medical affairs, publications, and evidence generation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary scientific teams while establishing scalable processes and team structures.
- Drive new business efforts by leading scientific strategy for pitches, proposals, and presentations to expand the agency's footprint.
- Champion the practical application of AI-enabled solutions within scientific strategy and client delivery while maintaining scientific rigor.
