Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in privacy consulting, DPO functions, or in-house privacy program ownership.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in delivery of DPIAs (Data Protection Impact Assessments) and ROPAs (Records of Processing Activities).
- Deep domain expertise in GDPR and India's DPDP Act.
- Working knowledge of the EU AI Act, US state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA), and other regional frameworks (PDPL, PIPL).
- Proven ability to translate complex regulatory text into actionable program requirements.
- Proficiency in utilizing AI tools to standardize deliverables and reduce manual effort.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage pricing, capacity, and margins for service engagements.
- Excellent written communication skills for handling ambiguous regulatory inquiries.
- Legal background (JD/LLM, or paralegal/compliance-law experience) is considered a strong differentiator.
- IAPP certifications (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, FIP) or formal DPO certification are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of DPIAs, ROPA build-outs, privacy program gap assessments, GDPR/DPDP/EU AI Act compliance programs, cross-border transfer assessments, and policy reviews.
- Serve as the internal authority on evolving privacy regulations including GDPR, India's DPDP Rules, EU AI Act, and US state privacy laws.
- Build and maintain reusable privacy templates including DPIA, ROPA, legitimate interest assessments, and AI governance frameworks.
- Define packaging, pricing, and margin strategies for privacy service offerings to drive commercial success.
- Partner with Sales, Solution Engineering, and Customer Success teams on privacy-related client opportunities.
- Develop AI-assisted generation playbooks for privacy deliverables with mandatory human validation gates.
- Provide advisory support to customers navigating regulator inquiries or breach-notification timelines.
