Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in retirement benefits design, administration, and strategy.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing complex retirement programs within a large organization.
  • Deep expertise in 401(k) administration, ERISA compliance, and fiduciary governance.
  • Experience managing retirement plans with significant assets and investment strategy.
  • Proven success managing external vendors, consultants, and recordkeepers.
  • Strong understanding of retirement investments and capital markets.
  • Experience leading RFPs, contract negotiations, and fee reviews.
  • Advanced analytical, financial, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term strategies for retirement and financial wellness programs.
  • Evaluate retirement program performance through benchmarking, participation analysis, and industry trends.
  • Lead fiduciary oversight activities, including investment reviews and governance frameworks.
  • Oversee 401(k) plan administration, compliance testing, audits, and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, SECURE Act, and Department of Labor regulations.
  • Manage relationships with recordkeepers, trustees, consultants, and auditors.
  • Lead vendor evaluations, fee benchmarking, and RFP processes.
  • Analyze retirement program costs and utilization data to support decision-making.
  • Develop employee education and financial wellness initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop team members while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
