Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in retirement benefits design, administration, and strategy.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing complex retirement programs within a large organization.
- Deep expertise in 401(k) administration, ERISA compliance, and fiduciary governance.
- Experience managing retirement plans with significant assets and investment strategy.
- Proven success managing external vendors, consultants, and recordkeepers.
- Strong understanding of retirement investments and capital markets.
- Experience leading RFPs, contract negotiations, and fee reviews.
- Advanced analytical, financial, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term strategies for retirement and financial wellness programs.
- Evaluate retirement program performance through benchmarking, participation analysis, and industry trends.
- Lead fiduciary oversight activities, including investment reviews and governance frameworks.
- Oversee 401(k) plan administration, compliance testing, audits, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, SECURE Act, and Department of Labor regulations.
- Manage relationships with recordkeepers, trustees, consultants, and auditors.
- Lead vendor evaluations, fee benchmarking, and RFP processes.
- Analyze retirement program costs and utilization data to support decision-making.
- Develop employee education and financial wellness initiatives.
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
