Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–3+ years of experience in energy markets, energy procurement, pricing, sales operations, analytics, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience interpreting complex data.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with electricity or natural gas suppliers, utilities, energy consultants, or brokers preferred.
- Understanding of deregulated energy markets and procurement processes preferred.
- Experience reviewing contracts, pricing models, supplier proposals, or commercial agreements is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM, procurement, pricing, or contract management systems is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end electricity and natural gas procurement processes, from initial data collection through contract execution.
- Develop, issue, and manage supplier requests for quotes (RFQs), ensuring timelines and customer commitments are met.
- Collect, evaluate, and compare supplier pricing proposals to identify competitive energy solutions.
- Analyze pricing structures, market trends, and contract terms to support informed procurement decisions.
- Investigate pricing discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with suppliers and internal teams.
- Partner with sales teams to provide accurate pricing information, market insights, and procurement support.
- Prepare clear summaries of supplier proposals, pricing results, and recommendations for stakeholders and customers.
- Support customer renewal strategies by monitoring contract expiration dates and preparing updated market analyses.
- Maintain accurate customer, supplier, utility, and portfolio data across internal systems.
- Track procurement activity, maintain reporting metrics, and identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
