Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience using AI-paired development environments like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot Workspace to build applications.
- Strong Python fluency including data manipulation, API integration, and script development.
- Comfort with at least one additional language: TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Java, or C#.
- Working knowledge of API design, Git version control, and CI/CD concepts.
- Understanding of token-cost awareness, model selection, and optimization techniques.
- Security-conscious engineering practices regarding API keys and secret management.
- Strong communication skills to engage with non-technical business stakeholders and translate requirements.
- Bias toward finishing and driving adoption over pure experimentation.
Responsibilities
- Release the function's pipeline of production tools prioritized by business impact.
- Engage directly with business stakeholders to translate constraints into technical requirements.
- Build headless, API-first, and agent-callable tools with structured outputs.
- Pair-program using AI-paired development environments as the primary mode of work.
- Contribute to a pattern catalog to document reusable architectural decisions.
- Engineer with token-economics in mind, including model routing and prompt caching.
- Partner with internal IT to ensure tool handoff and graduation to production infrastructure.
- Practice security-conscious engineering by managing secrets and environment hygiene.
