Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin programming languages.
- Proven track record of building highly available, distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), relational databases (MySQL), and Kubernetes.
- Experience defining technical plans for significant features with simple and extensible designs.
- Ability to make significant, safe changes in large, complex codebases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- A proactive approach to growth and taking ownership of technical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals, guiding engineers through technical ambiguity.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to translate business needs into technical designs.
- Identify and solve technical or process issues across team boundaries.
- Monitor system metrics and support on-call efforts to ensure service availability.
- Set and maintain high code review and design standards for the team.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to team members.
