Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing IT projects in enterprise technology environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Project Server, project scheduling, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Experience analyzing project and program status, preparing documentation, and presenting insights to leadership.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM)-based services and operational delivery processes.
- Experience managing complex technology initiatives involving software implementations, infrastructure improvements, or integrations.
- DoD 8140.03 Work Role (802) IT Project Manager – Basic certification.
- ITIL Foundation certification (required within three months of hire).
- PMP certification (preferred).
- Strong leadership, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement project scheduling standards, methodologies, and best practices across a portfolio of IT initiatives.
- Manage and maintain master project schedules using Microsoft Project Server, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop, refine, and govern Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and WBS dictionaries.
- Facilitate collaboration sessions with project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to break down project scope.
- Analyze project schedules to identify dependencies, critical paths, resource constraints, risks, and opportunities.
- Coach and advise project managers on schedule development, task sequencing, dependency management, and reporting.
- Lead complex IT projects, including technology implementations, service launches, and platform upgrades.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, development, infrastructure, security, and operations.
- Provide leadership with project insights, status updates, and recommendations for corrective actions.
