Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomechanics, Human Factors, or a human safety-related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pedestrian accident investigation, accident prevention, or human safety research.
  • Extensive experience in performing slip resistance testing according to ASTM and ANSI standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of North American building and life safety codes.
  • Demonstrated experience providing legal testimony as an expert witness.
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and team guidance abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with public speaking proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Comfortable with occasional travel (up to 50%).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations to determine the root cause of personal injury events.
  • Ensure consistent investigative methodologies are implemented by experts across North America.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing training for staff regarding personal injury insurance claims and lawsuits.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop injury reduction and safety strategies.
  • Oversee quality assurance for premises liability and security consultation services.
  • Manage and execute research studies on accident prevention in a pedestrian gait lab and research facility.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing teams to promote services.
