- 2 years of experience working with patients directly
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in direct patient care, including outpatient nutrition, weight loss counseling, or chronic condition management.
- Experience in chronic condition or metabolic health coaching, or recent completion of an NBHWC or ICF-approved program.
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or advanced degree in health, behavioral health, or a related field.
- Strong technological literacy with proficiency in digital platforms for remote care (texting, video chat, messaging).
- Strong typing skills and familiarity with tools like Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom.
- High EQ and empathy, with the ability to manage different personalities through change.
- Highly motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and creativity in problem-solving.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust to different audiences.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based nutrition and behavior change coaching, focusing on stages of change to help members implement dietary adjustments.
- Ensure high-quality interactions to support members through chat-based coaching centered on nutritional ketosis and lifestyle sustainability.
- Empathize, connect, and partner with members to foster personal success and weight loss.
- Maintain member engagement and retention using counseling techniques such as motivational interviewing and goal setting.
- Follow clinical workflows and accurately document member interactions, outreach, and progress.
- Collaborate with Virta Providers and the care team to deliver a personalized, seamless experience.
- Uphold company values and share expertise with the care team.
